Before I answer that question, let me ask you first. Do you have team issues that are slowing your organization down? Do you have team members or even officers who have dysfunctional behaviors that are starters of conflicts in the workplace?
Then planning for a teambuilding just for fun is a big waste of budget!
We are not just peddlers of fun. We are developers of high-performance team. If fun is your only agenda, no offense meant, you can save a lot of money by hiring party hosts who can lead parlor games and please don't call your event team-building. That is not teambuilding. Developing teams cannot be accomplished by merely conducting games and fun activities in a one-day event. There must be a post-teambuilding evaluation and follow through to guide the team to adopt the agreed team resolutions and new team norms which are essential part of the OD intervention itself. The team must also be trained during the intervention on how to create a positive team culture which they should apply immediately when they get back to their workplace. Only trained and experienced facilitators who have background in group dynamics and positive psychology can accomplish such complex task and ultimately trigger such commitment among the participants.
Creative Moves is able to deliver this by crafting client-centric problem-solving activities that simulate workplace scenarios in order to elicit unguarded behaviors and natural tendencies from the participants. We even invent original games just to simulate specific team issues and dysfunctions in a subtle manner.
The manifested behaviors and team performance, whether desirable or not, are discussed thoroughly during a carefully facilitated debriefing. They are also used as springboard for studying the principles and stages of team development as well as the strategies to become a high-performance team. This can be accomplished by a facilitation technique we call as "emphatic and insight-provoking debriefing technique." Untrained facilitators can do more harm than good in handling this complex agenda, so be careful.
