Organizational climate survey
INTRODUCTION
This diagnostic intervention covers a Survey on Organizational Climate. Results from this comprehensive survey will help you analyze the current situation of your organization in terms of “organizational health” and people’s morale. Conclusions that can be derived from your analysis will determine the right decisions and appropriate actions in order to improve the organizational vulnerabilities and enhance further those that are considered as organizational strengths. SURVEY COVERAGE This survey will yield scores reflecting the perceptions of employees on nine dimensions of “climate” in their workgroup and nine dimensions in the whole organization namely: PART 1: Work group dimensions: 1. Clarity of departmental goals Measures employees' perception on how well the objectives and mission of their functional groups are communicated to them. 2. Job interest and challenge - Measures the degree of interest employees have of their jobs. It also measures how much challenge they find in their jobs. 3. Rewards and satisfaction - Measures employees' degree of satisfaction with the rewards and recognition that they receive from their superiors by performing well. 4. Standards of excellence - Measures employees' perception on how well their superiors give emphasis to compliance with quality standards. 5. Degree of responsibility - Measures employee's perception on the clarity of role and amount of freedom that they exercise to make decisions as members of their respective workgroups |
. Personal development - Measures the employees' perception of the work group as a learning environment that provides opportunity for adequate training and coaching to learn new skills, knowledge and better attitude.
7. Working relationships - Measures the employees' assessment of the degree of open communication, trust and cooperation among members of their own work group and between workers and their unit leaders 8. Advancement/ mobility - Measures the employees' perception of the opportunity for career growth that is available within their respective work groups. 9. Departmental Management credibility - Measures the employees' perception of the integrity and credibility of their superiors within their work group PART 2: Entire Organization dimensions: 1. Clarity of vision and mission - Measures employees' perception on how well the vision and mission of their organization are communicated to everyone 2. Rewards and satisfaction - Measures employees' degree of satisfaction with the rewards and recognition programs initiated by the company for high performance. 3. Personal development - Measures the employees' assessment of the company's initiative to provide adequate training and coaching to their employees to learn new skills, knowledge and develop positive attitude 4. Working relationships - Measures the employees' assessment of the degree of open communication, trust and cooperation among members of different work groups. |
5. Advancement/ mobility - Measures the employees' perception of the opportunity for career growth available within the organization.
6. Upper Management credibility - Measures the employees' perception of the integrity and credibility of their executives and senior managers 7. Job security - Measures the employees' perception of security of tenure in the entire company 8. Personnel policies and procedures - Measures the employees' perception of the adequacy, applicability with respect to time and effectiveness of personnel policies and procedures 9. Self-confidence - Measures the employees' degree of self-confidence and self-esteem that they have developed through time from working with the company. It also measures their perception that they will have a future in the organization or elsewhere.
